María Villa Cabañas holds a technical degree in laboratory operations from the IES Politécnico de Sevilla, where she is currently training as a senior technician in analysis laboratory and quality control. Her work focuses on the optimisation of molecular purification processes, with the goal of making them more efficient and sustainable. Her contract is associated with the sustainable chemistry project entitled “Development of a Sustainable Purification Strategy as an Alternative to Chromatography“, a collaboration between Dr Alejandro Díaz Moscoso and Alejandro Méndez Ardoy, funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) through the “Sustainable Laboratory Grants” program.
